Percent-of-profit pledges are easy to make and hard to check. Ours is on the sale price, so you can do the sum yourself: on a €165 piece, €16.50 goes to conservation. Shipping and taxes are left out.
It is worked out on every order, shown on every product page, and reported every season.
Highest leverage, not highest profile.
We don't give it to the best-known name, or spread it so thin it changes nothing. Every partner has to pass three tests. Concentrated: small places that hold a lot of life. Close to the edge: habitats with the least left, where money now is worth more than money later. Counted: partners who measure outcomes, not activity, and publish them.
Three areas pass: the reef around Mauritius, the island's last native forest, and rivers and wetlands in Europe. Agreements are being finalised, and the names will be published before the first transfer is made. Then the people doing the work will be interviewed here.
